Smokies Paper Bag Album

This is a paper bag album I have made for my sister.  I used some old Far and Away photographic papers that I have had in my stash for a decade+.  This was a two day trip we took up to Cherokee, NC.  We visited the Oconaluftee Pioneer Village, Oconaluftee Indian Village, went to the play Unto These Hills and rode thru the Smokies.  June 21-22, 2014

Manhole

Yes-seriously! In March, City of Clayton conducted a smoke test of the sewer lines along Main St. Smoke came up in the middle of my floor under the "L" of my desk. Cut the carpet up & I have a 3' manhole under my desk! Is this what caused my pneumonia? Apparently I have been breathing sewer gases for 6+ years!
I was sick end of May - until middle of July... looking for a new office...... I have moved out of my room and trying to make the receptionist area work in the meantime... Its been rough......
The drips represent either:
My tears because I love this office, or represents the sewer lines underneath everyone in the city .

This paper was from a make-n-take at Expo years ago, I started it, but wasn't happy with their design, and it has been waiting for a special project.      The Summer of '69... I was 13....

Journaling:  Ah - the summer of 1969 - Dad was working in Atlanta.  We camped at Tallulah River for 9 weeks straight, went home and came back for 3 more weeks!  Mamaw got all us kids in the campground together - we fished and tubed and rode Mark's motorcycle,  Henry N, Terry K, Dale P, Novie W.  Mark & I were in the Atlanta paper washing his motorcycle in the river.  Great summer.
